This year, we invite you to join us on March 1-2, 2023 for the biggest giving event in Central Texas, Amplify Austin Day! On Amplify Austin Day, residents from across our community (and the world!) will come together to support hundreds of Texas nonprofits for 24 hours.
Our goal is to raise 25K to open 10 new cases in celebration of our 10 year anniversary. These valuable funds will allow us to more than double our current caseload so that we can get more innocents out of prison and back with their families where they belong.
You can make an impact with a gift of $5 or more in support of Proclaim Justice, and your dollars will be tripled up to 25k by our two matching sponsors! You do not have to be local to Austin or Texas, or even the US, to give.
There are also some incredible prizes that get handed out during Amplify Austin Day, that allow for even bigger impact! Here’s how you can help us grab some of those:
- Donate during our Power Hour: The organization with the most donations between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. CST on March 1 gets a $1000 bonus prize! If you can set your clocks to donate then, we can snag an extra 1k!
- Help us turn $5 into $5k! The organization with the most donors who have never participated in Amplify Austin giving before will get a $5,000 grand prize! Even if you’ve given to Proclaim Justice in the past, if you haven’t done it through Amplify Austin, your gift counts towards this prize! That means your minimum donation of $5 dollars could help us bring in an extra $5,000 to save innocent lives!
- Sign up as a Fundraising Champion to win some prizes for us and yourself! If you want to really help us amp up our Amplify day and go beyond just supporting monetarily, you can sign up to be a Proclaim Justice Fundraiser Champion! A Fundraising Champion is a supporter who creates their own fundraising page as a spin off of our Amplify Austin profile, and uses it to share within their network. (But don’t worry, we’ll make it easy for you! We’ve got tons of visuals, suggested language, and templates for you to use.) By sharing with your friends and loves ones why you support PJ and care about the work, you help us expand the reach of our Amplify Austin fundraising, bring in new donors, and potentially win some extra gifts!
Champions who raise $500 or more will be entered into a drawing to receive another $500 donation to their cause, and the nonprofit that achieves the most dollars raised through Fundraising Champions will get an extra $1,500 dollars. And Fundraising Champions can win some amazing prizes of their own! Champions who raise $1000 or more by 6PM March 2 are entered into a drawing to win a pair of weekend passes to Austin City Limits. And Fundraising Champions with 20 or more unique donors by 6PM March 1 are also entered into a drawing to win a pair of weekend passes to ACL! Not a bad prize for just sharing something you care about with your friends!
