Since 1989, there have been almost 1,800 exonerations in the U.S., but studies suggest there are currently tens of thousands victims of wrongful conviction behind bars. Proclaim Justice is a non-profit organization dedicated to winning freedom for those innocent people.
PJ was co-founded by Jason Baldwin of the infamous West Memphis 3 case and is led by some of the activists, attorneys, and filmmakers who played important roles in freeing the WM3. PJ uses a combination of field investigation, legal representation, forensic testing (when available), and public awareness campaigns to advocate for its clients.
